Non-stop Visitations to Silent Hill

So I’ve finally gotten around to playing the Silent Hill games for the first time. I kind of missed out on them when they came out due to not having a PS2 and stuff, so I’ve decided to brush up on the entire series from the beginning and it’s been epic thus far.

In the past while, I’ve beaten the first one on PS1, and the second one on PS2. I’m moving onto the 3rd one now as well. Man, I’ve been playing these non-stop and naturally it’s given me some strange dreams, especially with the appearance of Pyramid Head in the second instalment.

Excellent series from what I’ve played so far. Both have great storylines, the first one has more interesting and interactive puzzles, though. The second one seemed to get under my skin a lot more, and seemed more “psychologically” disturbing (oh my god the moaning sounds above you in the prison as you run through cells is … disarming. Supposedly Pyramid Head is up there moping away, but that’s only a theory. AND there’s no way to get up there in the first place). I also liked reading up on all the symbolism of the characters and all the different possible endings after finishing the game. Gotta love the UFO ending! Best ever. I think I got into the second one more for the story, though, as the characters were believable and the acting was a lot less cheesy than the first.

Apparently I really need to play Dead Space now.
